Sondhi Limthongkul: "Da Torpedo is calling me names, sir!"

OMG! Here's the video of the incident for which Thailand's human bomb "Da Torpedo" was charged with just about every offence that a Thai citizen can be charged with: illegal assembly, causing national unrest, detaining other people, damaging property, attempted trespass, defamation....

Watch this Youtube video, it's classic Da Torpedo! You can find the full version here: Diary1. The incident took place in front of the offices of the PAD leader, Sondhi Limthongkul, two years ago. Sondhi is only now just beginning to recover emotionally from the trauma! Perhaps being shot by Sirikit's army bovver boys was easier for him to assimilate than one of Da Topedo's vicious tongue lashings!

In the end, the court found Da Torpedo guilty of just one charge: "defaming" poor Sondhi. A witness said she was using "rude words". Yeah, we can see that! You don't need to speak fluent Thai to know that she's not exactly blowing kisses at him! Notice the way Da Torpedo touches the soles of her feet....then beckons at someone. This is an insult in Thailand, big time!

I love the way Da Torpedo smiles in between insults and says: "Aaaaaaah". Great stuff! Sondhi deserved every word of it, regardless of what the judge said. Anyway, the Thai court fined Da Torpedo a total of 50,000 baht (the price of a pair of deluxe foam ear plugs) and that's the end of that. Now for the Thai king. Next!
