Peak Moment 2/2

The king of Thailand is a puppet. His masters, the Thai army, know his little secret. Since 9th June 1946, when Bhumibol's brother Ananda Mahidol was mysteriously shot dead, Bhumibol has been at the service of the Thai army, endorsing military coups and instructing Thai people to "obey" their military masters.

In return, the Thai army has vowed to "protect the king" to the end. That fateful day, Bhumibol's "Peak Moment", has shaped Thailand's history to the present day. Thailand's political problems stem from that single shot fired by a young American boy, who was promised the Thai crown in return for elimitating his elder German born brother.

Since then, the Thai urban elite with their lese majeste law, has turned Thailand into an Alice in Wonderland world, where the truth can be argued away with a smile and gentle twist of the facts. A world where Thai students learn history from government approved colouring books, and where anyone who dares to speak the truth is sent to prison. From StopLeseMajeste.
