Massacre at Thammasat University

This video from stoplesemajeste contains some extremely strong images of the 1976 massacre of Thai students at Thammasat university, which according to Paul Handley (The King Never Smiles) was endorsed by the king of Thailand, Bhumibol Adulyadej.

The massacre of dozens of left wing Thai students, was triggered by photographs of a mock hanging of Thailand's Crown Prince, Sia 0, which appeared in the Thai press and which turned out to be fake.

Early in 2008, Thailand's then Prime Minister, Samak Sundaravej, who appears at the start of this video, denied the massacre and claimed that only one student was killed during the demonstrations. Watch the video and judge for yourself from the photographic evidence.
