"Da Torpedo"

Thailand's royal elite were so shocked by what Da Torpedo, a Thai activist, had to say about King Bhumibol Adulyadej, that to this day Da remains in prison on charges of lese majeste, with no prospect of release.

The humiliation for the king of Thailand was complete. When Da Torpedo labelled the Thai king as "a thorn in the side of Thai democracy", those present at her rally speech applauded and cheered with delight.

Perhaps this is a good moment to remind supporters of the Thai king, that not all Thai people "love" Bhumibol Adulyadej.
